In 2020, I started treating the ‘Still-life’ genre as the centre of my artistic activity.

I work around three motives: fruit, candles and flowers. Sometimes the object-character of reality comes into the foreground, then again, the formal relationship between the objects. The atmosphere, as an integral quality of the object is the core of the representation. In this way, the artwork becomes an object of artistic sensation.

The sculptures and drawings are ‘quiet’. They offer us the possibility to make deep contact with reality. This experience results into a feeling of mental and sensual pleasure. The dimension of this experience is existential.
